You might wonder what note comes after G?
If you think the next note is H, it’s a good guess, but it isn’t H. We start again with A!
You can see how the notes repeat on a keyboard. The notes A, B, C, D, E, F and G are the white keys on a keyboard. Notice how the pattern of white and black keys, and the note names, repeat as you go higher up the keyboard:
This is what the notes look like when they are written down as music. The names of the notes are shown underneath, and the trombone slide positions are shown below the names:
