Welcome to North Tyneside Brass in Schools! We have been set up by the North Tyneside Music Education Hub. We run after-school brass groups in Primary and Middle Schools, and plan to establish a Youth Brass Band to give children the opportunity to continue to play and develop beyond Primary School age. Our Aims and Objectives can be found in our Rules, Policies and Procedures Document.
The brass groups are open to all children from year 3 or 4 upwards. Attendance and the loan of an instrument is completely free of charge. All our professional and volunteer music tutors have enhanced DBS clearance. A member of the teaching staff from the school is in attendance at all sessions. Please see our Safeguarding Policy.
We have a Constitution and are managed by a Management Committee according to the rules and guidelines set out in our Rules, Policies and Procedures Document. All our Policy documents are publically available on our Google Drive here.
