Welcome to North Tyneside Brass in Schools! We have been set up by the North Tyneside Music Education Hub. We run after-school brass groups in Primary and Middle Schools, and plan to establish a Youth Brass Band to give children the opportunity to continue to play and develop beyond Primary School age. See Aims and Objectives for more details.

The brass groups are open to all children from year 4 upwards. Attendance and the loan of an instrument is completely free of charge. All our professional and volunteer music tutors have enhanced DBS clearance. A teacher from the school is in attendance at all sessions. See Policies for more details.

Our after School brass groups are have been suspended since March 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, but we are working on providing some online resources for Schools and individuals to use, and we hope to be back in Schools soon. Latest update: see our Post about Marden Bridge Middle School!

We have a Constitution and are managed by a Management Committee according to the rules and guidelines set out in our Rules, Policies and Procedures Document, a copy of which is available on request (see Contacts).
